Come Join The Barbados Food and Rum Festival Nov 17-20

As we explore and taste the origins of Rum we will soak in sultry sounds, food and fine rums to whet the palate.  Food stations intermingle with mixologists and as musicologists pour out soothing tones.  There will be delicious aperitifs, rum cocktails and unique hors d’oeuvres featuring recipes by some of Barbados’ award winning chefs.

Polo fans and enthusiasts will enjoy Saturday’s friendly exhibition match at Holder’s Polo Club while sampling world-class cocktails and canapes. Broad- rimmed hats and fedoras may well rival the colourful creations being birthed at the many food stations.

Our special celebrity chef Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten will host Saturday’s event at the Cliff Beach Club.

Chef Craig Harding returns to the festival this year and will host Saturday’s event at The Crane.

This year’s festival will climax along the shoreline of the beautiful Needham’s Point Beach at Hilton Barbados.  This exciting all-inclusive beach party will be pumping from start to finish with live performances, food demonstrations, and a wide variety of food tasting stations.  The height of the event will be the chef cook off of lamb dishes using local black belly sheep and hosted by the Minister of Tourism and Minister of Agriculture.  So lounge the evening away with your favourite cocktail  or join in the fun near the glassy waters of the ocean as we bring the festival to a fitting end.

Entrepreneurship: Going Beyond The Basics

The aim of this workshop is to educate business minded persons on entrepreneurship as a holistic enterprise to foster an entrepreneurial lifestyle within the Barbadian public. Our goal is for entrepreneurship to be viewed as a first choice career path and this is an opportunity for persons to learn how to grow their brand and ensure sustainability in the years to come.
