Aged 69 affectionately called “Bernie or Pope” late of Thornbury Hill, Christ Church retired employee of the GAIA entered peacefully into rest on January 1, 2017.
Son of Noel Niles (UK) and the late Claudine Niles; Brother of DeCoursey, Henley and Richard Niles (all of the UK), Julie Lashley (Grantley Adams International Airport) and the late Barbara Best; Nephew of Colvin Niles and the late Olga Forde; Uncle of Donna, Dave, Trudi, June, Juann, Sharon and Christine; Great Uncle of many; Cousin of Gloria and Henry Forde, Marva Best, Rev Frank Yarde, Keith Bartlett and many others; Relative of the Best, Bartlett, Forde, Kirton, Niles and Yarde families; Friend of Dan Carter, Kiplan Inniss, Elijah Grant, Christina Tyson, Lucine Straker, Orrie Mason, Myrna and Muriel Forde, Sonia Medford, Lolita Weekes and others too numerous to mention.
A Service of Thanksgiving celebrating the life of Bernice Winfred Best will take place at Christ Church Parish Church on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 2:30 PM followed by the interment in the Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will take place at St. George’s Home for Funerals, Carmichael, St. George on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Flowers may be delivered to St. George’s Home for Funerals no later than 12:30 PM the day of the funeral. The Organist and Members of the Choir are kindly asked to attend. A collection will be taken for the Church’s building fund.
