An activist and lawyer working in solidarity with others around the Caribbean since the early 1970s, Bobby was a loud voice for social justice and equitable Caribbean development. He was a Pan-Africanist and a socialist. A gregarious extrovert, Bobby was a man for and of the people, who did much to help others.

Father-in-law of Linda Christian Clarke, Jeewan Darshanand, Douglas Mendes, Esther Phills, Shaka Thomas, Sharon Smith and Nia Navarro;
Grandfather of Jamille, Jeanelle, Aschille, Asia, Liane, Jhase, Safiya, Mecha, Kia, Warren, Kaila, Rais, Ryan, Maurice, Jaden and Morgan;
Great grand-father of Sohla, Amari and Zahviyah;
Brother of Elaine Griffith, Winnifred Halifax, Eric, June, Reynold, Greer, Chugh and John Clarke, the late Marie Antoinette Emtage, Gloria Baylis, Reginald Clarke and Anthony Clarke;
