I worked with Donna over twenty years ago. I thought we were friends but I was wrong…she was an angel I didn’t even realise I had by my side. We laughed, you called me you old mare (hello I was younger than you) and she blamed me for her love of handbags. I’ll take that, it made me smile, and in some small way I made an impact in her life. A life that made an enormous impact on others.
I wish I’d seen her more, oceans too rarely crossed. Donna once turned up at my door just to make sure I was ok…I wish I’d known to return the favour.
Donna – in these last few weeks I’ve wanted to call and say hello…I look forward to hearing that chuckle again. With enormous love and gratitude that I got to meet you and call you my friend. Rest in peace, you were extraordinary. Much love to your mum…I know she was your world.
