Please share your favourite memories you had with Edwin or post a condolence message, thank you.
  • My condolences to the family for your lost Hubby is a great dude That’ smile of his was the greatest

  • When I think back on the memories of Hobby, all are filled with his smiles. I’ll never forget our beach and spring days, or drives around barbados, the kite making and watching movies, and he always made sure I had a flag; even if I just wanted the stick to play pretend with. Hobby was joy and he brought that to everyone around him.
Rest in peace and thank you for being apart of my life, I’ll carry your joy with me and spread it onto others.

  • I understand that no words can ease your pain, but please accept my deepest sympathy to you and your family. From the Brathwaite family.
May God’s blessing welcome you with open arms at the gates of heaven.

  • I remember how my cousin Carlos aka Hobby got the nickname. Carlos was spending the night at our home in Rices as he sometimes did. Even though his home was about 4 houses down the street. Hobby and Mark (my brother) both wore blue pjs and were singing varied songs. When they started singing “Bobby Schaffer’s gone to sea silver buckles… “ We mainly my older siblings realized that Carlos was saying Hobby Schaffer. The teasing began and Hobby-Hubby became his life long nickname. RIP

  • Goodbye Hubby I will miss dropping off souse for you on Saturdays and helping out with the car radio and other things you enjoyed especially selling your flags and I will miss you from the world cup celebrations but God had other plans for you rest in peace cuz gone too soon and shout mommy for me your souse lady Miss Lou

  • Condolences to the family! I am glad that I was able to visit with my cousin Hobby in April. He discussed his future plans and I silently prayed that he would be able to see them completed. Hobby will be remembered and held in my heart. Memories don’t leave like people do.
    Gone but never forgotten

  • We’ve known each other for the past 30yrs, and although an ocean separated us in 2005, and we each moved on to have our own families, our love and friendship never died. I will always remember your smile and you with a bald head (lol). I pray God comfort your family through their grief of losing you, and they take comfort knowing how loved you were both in Barbados and in New York. I know your girls meant the world to you and how proud you were of them.
    Rest In Pease, Hubby!
Know you were appreciated and loved by ALL who knew your true character.
    Love Always, Paula.
