She was the devoted mother of four children, Andrea, Karen, Sandra, and Terry Grazette, and a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, as she was a dear aunt and a friend to many.
Born to the late Naomi Grazette and Hugh Parker-Cummins, Sheila grew up in a close-knit environment that shaped her generous and caring nature. She was known for her passion for cooking, a talent that brought joy to many. Whether it was a family gathering or a community event, Sheila’s culinary skills were always in high demand, making her home a place of warmth and comfort.
Sheila's presence was felt deeply in the Grazettes community, where she was known and loved by all. Her role as a fish vendor was more than just a profession; it was a way for her to connect with others and share her vibrant personality.
She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued, whether they were buying fish or simply stopping by for a chat.
Her close friends, Shirley and Gloria Brathwaite, Randolph Ifill, Darwin Clarke, Emmerson Boyce, Marcia Cox, Andrea Paris, Edgar Atkins, Marjorie Gilkes, and the patrons of Andrea’s Bar in Crab Hill, St. Lucy, were like family to her. They, along with the entire Grazettes community, will remember Sheila for her kindness, her infectious laughter, and her unwavering support.
In addition to her many talents, Sheila had a deep love for plants. Her garden was a vibrant oasis, filled with a variety of flowers and greenery that she lovingly tended to.
Sheila's green thumb was well-known, and she found great joy in nurturing her plants, which flourished under her care and added beauty to her home and community.
