Smile and contemplate my face
Remember me at my prime
Smile about the laughs we shared
During a happier time
Hold these near, shed not a tear
As the flesh grows cold
Death conquers the body
The Lord receives the soul.
Reflect upon the choices
I made along life's road
Reflect upon the things I did
To ease another's load
Don't cry, I'm with my Saviour now
Upon a path of gold
Death enslaved my body
But my Master saved my soul.
Hold the love I had for you
Forever in your heart
And 'til we meet again in Glory
We will never be apart
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
My skin return to mould
Death can have my body
My God will keep my soul.
