The funeral service of the late MONICA DESIREE WHARTON takes place on Saturday 19th July 2025 at the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Hall, St. Peter where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2.00pm for a service of Thanksgiving and followed by the burial in Casuarina Lawns.

Flowers may be delivered to the home of KMJ Transport & Funeral Services #4 Bridge Gap, Goodland, St Michael not later than 11.30am on Saturday. Viewing of the body takes place at Two Sons Funeral Home, Stadium Road, St Michael on Friday 18th July 2025 from 5.00pm to 7.00pm and at the chapel On Saturday from 1.00pm until the start of the service.

Monica, loved dancing, singing, acting & literature when we were at school. She was given the opportunity to combine her love of the arts in two school plays; Cinderella Rock-a-fella & the Crucible; Monica rose to both assignments like a seasoned professional. One of her favourite theatre plays was the Dreamgirls, and favourite hit of the show was Jennifer Holliday singing ‘And I am Telling You I’m Not Going’. Monica would come round to my house on a weekend, I would set up the tape deck to record, press play; and with hairbrush in her hand she would belt it out. We’d listen back to the recording; and then do it again, and again.
Love & heartfelt condolences to Gillian and family from the Wright Family & my cousins Simon & Ian Dezonie, based in the UK. Monica was regarded as one of our family, she lit up every room with her beautiful smile. A beautiful soul inside and out, who has passed away too soon. Angela ❤️
