Thank you Sir for your excellent service. Your celebration here was fit for a Prime Minister, with dignity and class, just as you lived. My condolences to your wife, children, mom, siblings, comrades, other relatives and friends. Sleep peacefully in the arms of Jesus, in the company of your late sister and other Ancestors.
A LIFE WELL LIVED. You lived by example, hope others follow your path. God bless you
To Richard’s family, I’m so sorry to hear of your loss.
We were friends from school, talked horses, and over the years would periodically “bump” into each other. His quiet manner, integrity and sense of humour always left me feeling richer for each time we met. He was one of those few persons that you always considered a friend.

Let us talk about honesty. Let us talk about integrity. Let us talk about discipline. Let us talk about patience and understanding. Let us talk about politeness. Let us talk about decency. That is a lot of talking so let us shorten it and sum it up in one parcel by saying. Let us talk about Inspector Richard Greenidge. Friend, father, husband, supervisor and good human. God is waiting to receive you my friend.
Rest in Peace my great friend. Condolences to all family and friends. Greenidge and I worked together, for six years, in the Training and Recruiment office and during that time I learnt so much from him on a personal and professional level. I will always treasure those happy memories along with the last whatsapp messages we exchanged the Thursday before the heart wrenching event. Rest now Greenidge but I know that you will Rise in Glory.
I extend my deepest condolences to the family of Inspector Richard Greenidge, my former colleague and course mate. May you find strength in this difficult time, and may his dedication to the Barbados Police Service be remembered with respect and gratitude.
My memories of Richard goes back to when we were teenagers and he would help David Arthur with the horses back in the day before he joined the Barbados Police Service. I knew him as a very quiet and humble person. A man who never passed me without saying hello, even if he had to stop the police vehicle. We hadn’t seen each other in a while as for me moving overseas. Sleep In Peace my brother. My deepest condolences to his wife, children, extended family and friends, members of the BPS, and all fraternities mentioned.
20 years ago Richard and I became friends and neighbors in Mayfield where he lived until he moved deeper into St. George. We still remain friends today, even after I was made to freeze with the sad news of his passing.
Richard was ‘an officer and a gentleman’, one of ‘a few good men’ who believed in doing the right thing or doing things right. Upright, honest, jovial, Richard was a true gentleman, a family man, a committed officer of the law. He was simply, a good man.
My deepest condolences to his wife Tracie, daughter Serena, son Noah, his immediate and extended family and his friends.
I always remember his words ‘my man, before you do anything wrong, think about the consequences’.
My brother, May you rest in peace and rise in Glory.
Mr. Rouse, Inspector Greenidge left indelible footprints. I hope those officers that were “accused” of madness lately, and all others, follow his motto and think about the consequences. His motto should be added to a plaque with his picture, and placed at ever station house. Love our Police Department. Officers thank you; please let him rest in peace. A life well lived, a funeral fit for a Head of State.
My condolences to the family and friends, may he rise with the angel. SIP.
