Aged 72, affectionately called “Sam”, late of Thyme Bottom, Christ Church. Retired employee of BADMC and Big B’ Supermarket, faithful worshiper at Fairy Valley Wesleyan Holiness Church entered into rest on January 25, 2018 at his residence.

Grandfather of Mya, Randiah, Otisha, Joshia and Maliyah. Brother of Susan Gollop, Corleta Alkins, Beverly Lashley, Zora, Dalton, Harvey, Brendah, Sherol, Orville and the late Collen Best. Uncle of Denis, Jacquline, Stephen, Denise, Derek, Jason, Paula, Althea, Damian, Kodia, Jennie and many others.

Nephew of Albert Best, Montel Yarde, Carmen and Merline Rice. Brother-In-Law of Rodney Gollop, Haskell Lashley, Elza Best and David Alkins. Friend of Cecil Morris, Alexander Best and many more. Relative of the Rice and Best families.

A Service of Thanksgiving celebrating the life of Samuel Arthur Best will take place at The Fairy Valley Wesleyan Holiness Church, Fairy Valley, Christ Church on Wednesday February 8, 2018 at 2:00 PM. The cortege will then proceed to the Christ Church Cemetery for the interment. Viewing of the body takes place at St. George’s Home for Funerals, Carmichael House, Carmichael, St. George, on Tuesday February 7, 2018 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Flowers may be delivered to St. George’s Home for Funerals no later than 11:00 AM on the day of the funeral.
