Aged 67, affectionately called “Pluto or Bird”, late of Yorkshire Tenantry, Fair View #1, Christ Church and formerly of Scarborough, Christ Church, Retired Messenger of the Welfare Department entered into rest on February 10, 2018 at the QEH.
Son of the late Samuel Pilgrim and Vernese Pilgrim Neé Phillips. Companion of Gordine Best (Employee of Sideline Grill). Father of Curtis (Harris Paints) and Janelle Best. Grandfather of Kyshawna, Janae and Davon Best.
Brother of Cleveland and Avril Phillips and the late Selvadene Kirton (All of the UK), Rudolph (USA) and Silbourne Phillips. Uncle of Maylene Broomes, Sylvan Harris (USA) and 7 others.
Brother-In-Law of Inez and Eileen Phillips, Violet Hall, Selvin and Patrick Best, Therold Roberts, the late Vibert Best and 4 others. Cousin of Many. Relative of the Jones, Walcott and Phillip families. Friend of Stephen Chase (USA), Bernard, Staff of the Welfare Department and many others.
A Service of Thanksgiving celebrating the life of SherwinPhillips will take place at Christ Church Parish Church on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 2:30 PM. The cortege will then proceed to the Christ Church Cemetery for the interment. Viewing of the body takes place at St. George’s Home for Funerals, Carmichael House, Carmichael, St. George, Thursday March 1, 2018 from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. Flowers may be delivered to St. George’s Home for Funerals no later than 11:30 AM on the day of the funeral.
