  • I want to send my deep condolences to the family of my favorite History Teacher Trevor Marshall.
He was indeed an excellent and remarkable man.
It was extremely heartbreaking to find out of his passing just one hour after finding out of my grandfather’s passing.
    He will always be remembered.
    Signed
    Sexy stupendous 😢

  • It is with a heavy heart, on behalf of the family of the late Professor Emeritus Dr. Pedro L. Welch, that I express condolences on the part of Monica, Pedro and Gem Welch ( his immediate family); and Sonja, Yolande and Peter Welch ( his siblings and long acquaintances of Trevor in life). Our only comfort is that God is assembling a team of the most formidable historians, to wage the spiritual battle against those that would create and disseminate the anti-history fake news that marks these times. It takes persons of the fortitude of the late Trevor George Marshall to be considered a most worthy member of such a prestigious team. We wish his family peace and offer our respectful thoughts and prayers at this time, as we too prepare to say our own goodbye.

    With deepest condolences
Sonja Welch on behalf of Monica, Pedro and Gem Welch and Sonja, Yolande and Peter Welch

  • My first time meeting Sir at BCC he instantly asked who my mother was, and after hearing her name, drew me in close with a bear hug and said “a little more time and I could have been your father!” Laughing, he remarked how wonderful a person my mother was and was thrilled I was pursuing my studies and how happy he was to have met me, as he had previously only met my elder sister. That same evening outside the history classroom at BCC we decided to jokingly call each other father and daughter, and that stuck for 13 years, up to two months before his passing when I last heard him over the telephone. He asked me how his daughter was doing like normal and it brought a comfort to my busy life I didn’t know was missing…. I’ll never forget the kind and loving mentor my Teach was. It was a privilege to sit at his desk at school or meet randomly in town and just talk about anything and everything! Always we chatted for hours but only after a hug and a laugh, because that was his way of welcoming you. He always was welcoming to everyone, and he joyously shared his new experiences, and of course, his talks always had to add bit of history he thought you should know. It was ever soothing to hear him speak about our culture and our amazing Barbadian history. I miss my friend, dear teacher, and adoptive father figure. May he rest in peace, and ever in love. Deepest condolences to his treasured family, from Camille a past student (named by Mr. Marshall as “Red Lobster”)

  • Sincere condolences to the family of Trevor Marshall, a former work colleague. I remember him asking about my choices for a name when I was expecting my first child. He even loaned me a book to review. May he rest in peace 🙏🏻

  • Condolences to my cousins, Trevor’s wife Margaret and the children, grands and great grands. I shall miss running into Trevor in Bridgetown and having one of our engaging conversations, which ultimately ended up speaking about family. His entire persona would light up when he began to speak of his children’s many achievements. May he rest peacefully with the ancestors. He will continue to live in our hearts and memories.

  • Sir, you were the most impactful teacher. You fought and championed for your students. You were selfless … no greater love than one who gave himself for countless others, SIP to Sir with love.
