Fond memories of Mr. Arlington Watson, may he rest in eternal peace.
I knew Arlington when I worked as an Island Constable for the Former Royal Barbados Police Force,he was a kind and very humble person.I would love that the song Lead Me Home by Jamey Johnson be played at his service, as the words would be something he would say.Rest in Peace Sir,I Thank you for your Service to Barbados.
My sincere condolences to Margaret! Donna and Paul and Kenton and Jeremy! Murna and Glendine and all the other family members, too many to mention by name! It’s with a heavy heart that I write this message. Arlington has been a cherished member of our family for over 4 decades! So with this, to say goodbye will not be easy but know that he’ll be sorely missed, We’re left with countless memories and knowing that he’ll be in the arms of the Almighty! RIP Arlington and rise in glory!
To his wife and family, please accept my condolences on the passing of Arlie. He was my class mate at the Regional Police Training Center. The Course was number 11 in which he exemplified the finessed of a true military person when he got the class star for drill. On previous visits to Barbados, we got together for cordial chats at Police Headquarters.
I wish to say that Arlie was a complete Officer and a Gentleman. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
Margaret and family please accept sincere condolences from me and my family. I met my mentor in the RBPF on the 8th day of May 1973 the day before my 19th birthday. The first working day at RPTC and he selected me to his orderly. May evenings after class sessions he would have true heart to heart conversation and from them I learned so many things that helped me not only through my police career bu through life to this day. He taught me not only to be a good police officer but to be a good human being.
My friend was a true humble and dignified man who genuinely cared for others and loved his family.
Margaret I pray God’s continued blessings on you and his entire family.
God bless..
It is with great sadness that I extend my condolences to his wife Margaret and other family members as well as his many friends on the passing of our dear friend Arlie Watson. I will forever remember his trademark smile. Funny how I recall our first time meeting which was in the court yard at central station below the old CID.
That meeting has remained ever fresh in my mind. I will miss our short exchanges.
Arlie, Rest In Peace until you Rise Again in God’s Glory.
