A wonderful welcoming person.
You will be greatly missed.
Rest in peace mate.
Michael and I meet while we (along with his friend George)were stranded at airport Dominica. With no hesitation Michael offered me somewhere to stay for a few days in other to make a connecting flight back to the UK.
From that day on we became friends checking in on each other often.I would stay over periodically on stopover in the Caribbean .
Spoke to him often after his diagnosis and days leading up to his passing .
Thanks for being a good and kind friend to a stranger.
Fly with the rest of the angels.
Gone but won’t be forgotten.
Thanks
Michael and I met at Harrison College where our friendship started….we were always in contact periodacally although our lives took different directions….it was later when a common friend of ours Richard Sutherland would come back to visit Barbados that we revisited our bond as we would get together at Michaels place and talk old talk.Michael and I both came out of the Bayland area ,Michael was a water child….he loved the sea and his life revolved around it…diving, teaching people to dive, swimming, teaching others to swim…..including physical challenged youngsters….he had a big heart and always that smile…..he will be missed.

From Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. When I met Michael, I felt how spiritual and generous he was. He shared his call to help any vulnerable child or person through his gift of love and tame of the sea. The sea was his true love who could cure any illness, disability or sorrow. The same sea will embrace his soul. I hope that every child he helped to conquer their fear of the sea will remember him and share his vision to continue his work. Louise Soyez and Murrell Family in the Bayland.
May his soul and the souls of all faithful departed rest in paradise and rise in glory through the mercy of the risen Christ
Sincere condolences to the family and friends of Michael, may his soul rest in eternal peace and rise in glory.
